Jacob Braud began his legal career as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert A. Pitre, Jr. of the 24th Judicial District Court for the Parish of Jefferson in 2002. He comes to Ballay, Braud & Colon, PLC after practicing the last five years with two regional law firms where he gained significant litigation experience in matters involving insurance coverage, medical malpractice, professional liability, worker's compensation, longshore and harbor worker's compensation, maritime litigation, construction litigation, premise liability and the defense of political entities throughout the States of Louisiana and Mississippi. He begins the second generation of the practice of law at Ballay, Braud & Colon, PLC as the son of a founding partner, Stephen C. Braud. At Ballay, Braud & Colon, PLC, Jacob will be practicing in a variety local and regional litigation matters. He is married to Erin Obrien Braud.
