Charles Ballay, Sr. is a co-founder of Ballay, Braud & Colon, PLC. Practicing law since 1976, Mr. Ballay’s practice has focused primarily on litigation involving personal injury, vehicle accidents, insurance coverage, and maritime accidents. Mr. Ballay has also litigated numerous class action lawsuits where he often served on the plaintiffs’ steering committee. Mr. Ballay honed his trial skills while serving four years as an Indigent Defender before serving 26 years as a prosecutor in the 25th Judicial District Court’s District Attorney’s office. In October 2008, the voters of the 25th Judicial District elected Charles as District Attorney. Charles is married to Claire Bonneval Ballay and has three sons and six grandchildren.
